O’pay Riders Chant “Otoge”; Protests in Ilorin.
The O’pay riders association, Kwara state chapter today the 25th day of November protested in the metropolis, the riders convened at New Yidi road under the solar farm just after Tuyil Pharmaceutical Limited, and proceeded to the O’pay head office at Unity.
The riders were seen shouting “Otoge” as they trooped out en masse to protest against what they termed as “scarcity of order”, apportioning the blame on the management of O’pay due to the outrageous increase in transport fares, something they claimed they had evidence on.
The riders made four (4) demands, amongst which are dialogue before imposing any policy on riders, riders price should be increased and passengers price reduced, the price of GSM given to riders should also reduced to 27,000 naira instead of the present 72,000 naira. The riders also complained of the lack of courtesy from the managers.
