…says journey to Ahmadu Bello House begins, seeks unity, grassroots support
Mallam Omar Bolaji Gambari has emerged as the Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kwara State Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.
Gambari, in a statement following his appointment, expressed gratitude to the party’s national leader, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the Kwara State leadership, executives, stakeholders and members for entrusting him with the responsibility.
He described the appointment as a call to service at a critical point in the state’s political journey.
Gambari said the campaign council would commence preparations for the 2027 elections with emphasis on organisation, ideas, strategic thinking, grassroots engagement, effective communication and teamwork.
“From this day to Election Day, we are commencing a journey towards Ahmadu Bello House in 2027, a journey that will be driven by organisation, ideas, strategic thinking, grassroots engagement, effective communication and disciplined teamwork,” he said.
He called for prayers, cooperation, constructive counsel and support from party members and stakeholders as the campaign gets underway.
“With Allah as our guide and unity as our strength, we will give this assignment our very best,” Gambari said.
He described the campaign as a journey “from 44 Pipeline Road to Ahmadu Bello House”, signalling the party’s preparations for the 2027 governorship election in the state.
Gambari also called for unity within the party and pledged to give the assignment his best.
“May Allah guide and strengthen us. Forward ever. Long live the PDP, Kwara State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.
