The lawmaker representing Kwara Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Sen. (Dr.) Ibrahim Yahya Oloriegbe has dispelled the rumour spreading across media that he has appointed his daughter as Chief of Staff.
In a rebuttal signed by his media aide, Bolaji Aladie, Senator Oloriegbe described the rumour as unfounded, and enjoins the general public to wave it aside.
In his words, “appointment of my daughter as Chief of Staff exists only in the imagination of my political opponents. I want to state it clearly that I have neither appoint anyone as aide nor submit any name to National Assembly for such purpose. Beside, it is only the presiding officers of the senate (Senate President and his deputy) that are entitled to Chief of Staff. And I am not one of them.”
“Whosoever will be my aide will be chosen on merit when it is time to submit names to the National Assembly. He Stated”
Signed:
*Bolaji Aladie*,
Media Aide to Sen. Ibrahim Yahya Oloriegbe,
Kwara Central Senatorial District.
