“Olamide only helped me, but didn’t believe in me” – Portable blasts Olamide amid feud with Asake

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, also known as Portable, has shifted his focus from criticising Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, after his loss at the 67th Grammy Awards, to attacking YBNL record label boss, Olamide Adedeji.

Portable claimed that while Olamide helped him, he did not truly believe in him, stating that it was all about business.

He also accused Olamide of supporting Asake, and even asked Asake to praise Kogbagidi, whom Portable had first hailed with the term “opolopo.”

He also mentioned that he should have collaborated with Small Doctor on the hit track “Zazoo”, but he chose to trust Olamide.

In a series of Instagram videos, Portable expressed how he was sent back to Sango with the intention of disgracing him, but he managed to rise from there to London and other parts of the world.

The “Zazu” singer criticised Olamide for choosing Asake over him for the YBNL label.

He claimed that if Olamide had offered him a record deal, he would have signed it.

He further claimed that Asake, the artist Olamide helped, turned ungrateful and left the label after becoming successful.

Portable accused Olamide of stopping producer P Prime from working on his music and also taking his dancer, T Dollar, as well as his promoter, Kogbagidi.

In his words: “Look at the person you helped, he dumped you. You took him to the top, and he left without saying thank you. Olamide Badoo, if you had asked me to sign a deal, I would have signed it. You took my producer, P Prime, and stopped him from producing my music. You took my promoter Kogbagidi and my dancer T Dollar, whom I trained, and used them to promote your own artist’s album. You’re doing too much, Mr Man. The person you helped wasn’t even grateful, but I was. You only gave me one verse, and I appreciated it. As you brought Ololade there, make sure you carry Oriade with you.”

Portable also claimed that he was the one who started the trend of wearing oversized shoes and clothes, and that Asake copied him by wearing even bigger clothes and shoes.

The “Zazu” crooner accused others in the industry of copying his style.

He also alleged that Davido started promoting cryptocurrency because of him, taking away opportunities from him despite Davido already being wealthy.
