Officers Feared Dead As NAF Aircraft Reportedly Crashes In Kaduna
A Nigerian Air Force, NAF, aircraft has crashed in Kaduna state with many officers on board reportedly killed.
Remember that last year, a military aircraft carrying the former Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru, and ten, 10 others crashed, and all the officers onboard including the Chief of Army Staff lost their lives.
Report has it that the Super Mushak, a trainer aircraft crashed in the Nigerian Airforce facility in Kaduna, while on a training mission.
Some eleven months ago, Ibrahim Attahiru, the Army Chief, and 10 other military personnels were lost in a airforce’s Beechcraft 350, to a crash around the Kaduna International Airport in Kaduna.
Nigeria had conceded 11 military plane crashes with no fewer than 33 military officers died, between August 29, 2015, and 2021.
These clashes include the NAF plane crash, which killed seven onboard on August 29, 2015 in Kaduna; the Augusta Westland plane crash in Makurdi on November 15 and the F-7NI jet of October 10, 2015,
The Air Force has lost at least three jets in 2021 alone. Beechcraft KingAir350i that crashed with seven officers on board in Abuja on March 21, 2021; the Alpha Jet dropped while on support mission of troops in the North-East on April 3, 2021, and the most deadly of them all was the crash of a military jet transporting the country’s 25th Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru and 10 other military personnels who were on board at the Kaduna Airport.
