Obi congratulates President-elect, Tinubu
The brain behind and funder of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Cup, Chief Madu Obi, has sent his congratulatory wishes to the President-elect, Bola Tinubu.
Obi urged Tinubu to prioritize sports as a means of developing the youth community.
He said talented and young football players can earn living by participating in sports.
He said the country can turn sports to a fantastic profit making ventures, which would favour the youths, coaches and lovers of sports.
He said: “I congratulate our President-elect for his victory at the polls. However, the focus for him is to develop the youths and I am sure sports are one of the avenues to do that. Tinubu must also know that the sports sector can become a huge money spinner where a lot of people can be employed.
“I am sure that the exploits of the like of Victor Osimhen who is the leading scorer in Serie A has caught the attention of the world but he started his career in Nigeria. I also know that there are many more like him in the country.
“ All they need is support and the enabling environment to thrive,” he added.
