Obayomi congratulates Muslims on Ramadan, prays normalcy returns to Nigeria
A foremost lawyer and PDP House of Assembly aspirant, Barrister Obayomi Azeez, has congratulated Muslims on the commencement of 2022 Ramadan fast, saying that the month usually presents an opportunity for them to intercede with God.
Barrister Obayomi, in his Ramadan message made available to newsmen in Ilorin on Sunday, said the fasting period is a sober moment for reflections and prayers.
He said, “Nigeria is going through a lot right now, especially in the area of resurging insecurity. Nigerian Muslims must therefore use the opportunity of this fasting period to pray to God on our situation as a country, and for God to abate all the hardships in our land.”
“I pray to Almighty God to accept our supplications in this beautiful month and beyond, and to bless us with all the blessings of the month. I urge all Muslims to rededicate and redouble our acts of worship during this season.”
He, however, hoped that during this period Muslims would be their brother’s keepers, and believed that the affluence would reach out to the have-nots.
