The spokesperson of the Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, has reacted to the endorsement of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, by former president, Olusegun Obasanjo.
Keyamo said the endorsement will not have any effect on the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu.
The Informant247 earlier reported that the former president endorsed Peter Obi for the February 25 election.
The former Nigerian leader said Obi has an edge over other presidential contestants.
Keyamo has revealed that the action of the former general will not affect his principal (Tinubu).
He said the action of Obasanjo will affect the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, as it is a proof that his former boss does not consider him worthy of the presidential seat.
Keyamo tweeted on Sunday: “Quite within OBJ’s right to endorse anyone, but bad for PDP in 2 ways: (1.) Atiku’s former boss does not think he deserves to be President this time around (2) The little support OBJ gave PDP in 2019 & they failed, he has taken that away to LP. No effect at all on @officialABAT.”
