The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has launched an investigation into the cause of how a private jet crash-land in Ibadan on Friday.

A private jet that departed the federal capital territory (FCT) on Friday crash landed just before the runway at the airport in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital

Confirming the development, Tunji Oketunbi, director, public affairs and consumer protection of the NSIB said that a probe has already been launched into the incident.

“We have commenced an investigation and our investigators are on ground,” the director said.

The jet operated by Flint Aero with the call sign 5N-AMM reportedly had 10 persons onboard.

Meanwhile, no deaths were reportedly recorded but the aircraft experienced a lot of damage after it came to a stop inside the bush surrounding the runway
