The Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana has said that February 25 presidential and national assembly elections have shown that power belongs to the people.
He said the myth of political structures have been put to rest, as the people have proven themselves to be the structure.
“There are some positive developments that were recorded. For instance, the myth of these political structures has been destroyed whereby people have shown that we are the structure, and the people are the structure ultimately,” he said.
In the build up to the February 25 presidential election, there were claims that the Labour Party and its presidential candidate did not have political structures that could win them the presidential election.
The election took another dimension as Obi had an outstanding political outing in the election, even though he came third.
For instance, Obi overpowered the presidential candidate of the APC, Senator Bola Tinubu who’s a former Governor of Lagos State in his (Tinubu’s) state.

The Informant247 recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election.
According to INEC, Tinubu came victorious with 8.8 million votes.
The presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar came second with 6.9 million votes, while Peter Obi, had 6.1 million votes.
