Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta announces passing of his son years after first child’s death

Nollywood veteran Ibrahim Chatta has announced the devastating news of his son’s passing, a heartfelt message he conveyed on Instagram this past Saturday.

Expressing his grief, Chatta wrote, “Inna liLlahi wa inna ileyhi rajiun. Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on Dear Son, Champ.”

This tragedy marks another chapter of loss for the actor, who had previously revealed in June the heartbreaking death of his first child, a daughter. He opened up about that painful experience, stating, “My first child is not Malik. The first child I had died. My first child was buried in a crate of Coke, the old wooden crate of Coke.” He described the desperate attempts he made to raise funds for medical treatment, lamenting that help arrived too late.

Ibrahim Chatta’s recent loss comes shortly after actress Peju Ogunmola faced a similar tragedy, having lost her only son, Ayomikun, just days earlier in Ibadan. Ayomikun was in his early 30s.
