Joseph Jo Mersa Marley, the grandson of the legendary reggae star, Bob Marley has died at the age of 31.
The fast growing singer was recovered unconscious in a car in the United States, Tuesday.
The place where the tragic incident occurred was not disclosed.
As reported by the Florida radio station WZPP,
the rising musician was a patient of asthma and that he died of asthma attack.
The Informant247 recalls that the grandfather of Joseph, and the reggae music icon, Bob Marley died of cancer in 1981 at the age of 36.
11 children survived the renowned reggae maestro.
The passing of the rising musician, was confirmed by Mark J. Golding, a Jamaican political figure, the leader of the opposition, and the People’s National Party president.
Golding has taken to Twitter to mourn the passing of Marley
He wrote: “I’ve just learned of the tragic loss of Joseph “Jo Mersa” Marley. A talented young reggae artiste, son of Stephen Marley & grandson of Bob Marley at only 31 yrs old.
He added: “The loss of a child is a devastating blow no parent should face, my condolences to Stephen & the entire family.”
