“Nobody wins when the family feuds” — Gadaff meets APC chairman Fagbemi, urges party unity
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Hon. Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff, has called for unity and discipline among members of the party following a recent protest that reportedly led to violence and destruction of property.
Gadaff made the call on Monday, March 6, 2026, during a courtesy visit to the Kwara State Chairman of the APC, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, where he expressed concern over the incident and reaffirmed his loyalty to the party leadership and the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Speaking during the visit, the APC stakeholder from Asa Local Government Area condemned the violent turn of events during the protest, stressing that such actions do not reflect the values and political culture of the ruling party.
“Nobody wins when the family feuds; we all lose,” Gadaff said, emphasizing that internal disagreements within the party should not degenerate into actions capable of weakening its collective strength and public image.
He noted that the APC remains the largest political party in Nigeria and must continue to protect the unity and stability built through the sacrifices and loyalty of millions of members across the country.
Gadaff also stressed the importance of inclusiveness and broad participation within the party, stating that opportunities, recognition, and political engagement should be extended across different groups within the party structure.
According to him, concentrating opportunities within a single bloc could undermine the strength of the party’s grassroots support, particularly among young people.
“As a loyal party stalwart from Asa Local Government and a committed supporter of this administration from its inception, I believe the strength of our party lies in the diversity of its loyal supporters and grassroots leaders,” he said.
In his response, Prince Fagbemi appreciated the visit and assured that the party leadership remains committed to maintaining discipline, peace, and unity among members.
The APC chairman also pledged that necessary steps would be taken to prevent a recurrence of such incidents while investigations into the protest continue.
He further offered prayers for the continued success of the Kwara State government and the unity, growth, and prosperity of all APC members across the state.
Gadaff reaffirmed his commitment to the progress of the party, the success of the government, and the continued unity of what he described as the APC political family.
