The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has reacted to the recent comment of the Governor of Anambra State, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, calling for his release and offering to stand as surety for his freedom from the Department of State Services (DSS).
The Informant247 earlier reported that the Governor on Saturday appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to free the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
The Informant247 observes that the leader of IPOB is currently in the detention of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The spokesperson of the organization, Emma Powerful, while reacting to the offer of the Governor, said it’s late and no more needed at the moment.
He explained that the moment for a surety has gone.
He added that all charges against the leader of IPOB have been nullified by the Court of Appeal, and that the federal government was only violating the order of the court.

In a statement on Monday, one of the legal counsel to Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor, who visited him in the custody of the DSS, said the IPOB leader has asked him to convey his appreciation to Governor Soludo for calling for his freedom.
The legal practitioner also stated that Kanu’s medicals and nutrition remain erratic.
