The Nduka Ugbade boys lost to 1-2 to Burkina Faso in the quarter final game played on Thursday night
Against the run of play, the Burkinababes scored from rebounds through Abubakar Camara in the first half and netted the second goal in the second half.
And while Abubakar Abdullahi had halved the deficit for Nigeria in the 68th minute, it was too late for the Nigerians to upturn the results.
Apart from the AFCON elimination, the result also means that the Nigerian team have been knocked out from participating in the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup slated for December.
