Osinbajo meets five governors, APC chairman
The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, is currently meeting with the at least five governors of the All Progressives Congress as well as the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
The meeting comes just days after President Muhammadu Buhari met with the governors at the Council Chambers of the State House on Tuesday before leaving for Madrid, Spain.

While speaking in Ogun State, Tinubu said, “If not me that led the war from the front, Buhari would not have emerged as the president. He contested first, second and third times, but lost. He even said on television that he won’t contest again.
One victim who sustained gunshot injuries during cultists’ clash in Ilorin dies
Another victim of last Monday night’s attack by suspected cultists in Ilorin, Kwara State, has reportedly died of gunshot injuries.
Recalls that a bloody attack was launched by suspected cultists at Omoda/Adangba quarters of Ilorin metropolis on Monday night, which claimed three lives, including a commercial Okada rider.
The State police command, through its spokesman, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, who confirmed the development, however, said only one unidentified person was killed in the incident, which occurred between 8.45pm and 9.00pm.
EFCC arrests 41 suspected ‘yahoo boys’ in Akure
41 suspected internet fraudsters met their waterloo, as they got arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Akure, the capital of Ondo.
The spokesperson of the anti graft agency, Wilson Uwujaren, via a statement, said they were caught at their hideouts, following an intelligence report.
Those arrested by the EFCC are Tosin, Busayo Ayeni, Olumide Oluwalogbon, Temitayo Temenu, Victor Emaiku, Abiodun Babatunde, Ehuwayijomo Orowole, Odukoya Jesuseyiyan, Akinselure Bayo, Awopetu Abayomi, Adekanyi Ayo, Victor Ugwu and Omotehinse Joshua.

Former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, has recounted how he nominated Professor Yemi Osinbajo as President Muhammadu Buhari’s running mate in 2015.
Tinubu, while speaking with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital on Thursday, said Buhari had before the election approached him to be his running mate, because he had failed with every other person he picked as running mates in his earlier attempts.
PDP delegate shares millions among community members
A delegate of the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, Mr. Tanko Rossi Sabo, has given some of the funds he acquired from the aspirants of his party to members of his community in Sanga Local Government Area.

Boko Haram abducts many, burn vehicles on Kaduna road
Suspected members of Boko Haram group have kidnapped many travellers and set eight vehicles on fire on Birnin Gwari-Kaduna Road.
A source revealed that the members of the terror group also barricaded a convoy of vehicles with security escorts during the incident, which happened on Tuesday.

A chieftain of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-political organisation, Chuks Ibegbu, has opened up on what should be expected from the Igbos if the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar chooses his running mate from the southeastern part of the country.
He said that the southeastern region will not reject the offer if the PDP flagbearer decides to select someone from the region as his running mate in 2023.
While addressing newsmen, the chieftain said that the region would also make consultations round if Atiku decides to pick an Igbo man.
