Nigeria school fence collapse killed 2 children
LAGOS, Nigeria (The Informant247) – At least two children were killed on Sunday when the fence of a school collapsed in Nigeria’s commercial capital Lagos, police and residents said.
The fence of Covenant Point Academy located in Amukoko collapsed on the children while they were playing.
One of the victims was said to have died instantly while the other died moments later.
State police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin, who described the incident as unfortunate, said two suspects had been arrested.
“The owner of the school and one more person have been arrested, and will be taken to the state CIID, Panti for further questioning and prosecution,” he said.
