NASS: Senator Akpabio meets Tinubu in Abuja

A Senator elect and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio on Tuesday April 25 visited the president elect Senator Bola Tinubu at his residence.

The Informant247 understands that Akpabio is contesting for the Senate Presidency.

He visited the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC alongside the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji at Tinubu’s Abuja residence.

The Informant247 earlier reported that the president elect returned to Abuja, the nation’s capital on Monday April 24, accompanied by soon to be First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and son, Seyi Tinubu, after spending one month abroad.

The vice president elect Senator Kashim Shettima and other chieftains of the APC received the president elect at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja.

80-yr-old US President, Biden declares second term ambition

The 80 year old President of the United States, US Joe Biden has officially declared his intention to recontest for the presidency.

Biden made this declaration in a video released on Tuesday April 25.

He described the next year’s presidential contest as a struggle against Republican extremism.

He said he needed enough moment to fulfill his promise to restore the country.

“When I ran for president four years ago, I said we are in a battle for the soul of America. And we still are,” he said in the video, which opened with images of the January 6, 2021, insurrection and abortion rights activists protesting at the US Supreme Court.

“The question we are facing is whether in the years ahead we have more freedom or less freedom. More rights or fewer.

“I know what I want the answer to be and I think you do too. This is not a time to be complacent. That’s why I’m running for reelection,” he said.
