NANS to hold leadership summit in honour of Saraki

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) says it is organising a leadership summit in commemoration of the birthday of the former Nigerian senate president, Bukola Saraki.

The National Clerk of the Association, Comrade Saad Baki speaking at a press briefing to unveil the event said it is part of efforts to reawake the teeming Nigerian students to rise up and partake in decisions-making that concerns their future.

He added that the summit tagged, “Why Nigerian students should vote aggressively”, shall engage and enlighten students on the 2023 General Elections.

The Summit is scheduled to hold on Monday 19th, December, 2022 at Mariam Event Hall, Ilorin, Kwara State.

“Interestingly, NANS has deem it necessary to organize this summit in commemoration of the 60th birthday anniversary of a cosmopolitan and a leader per excellence, Distinguished Sen. Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki CON, the President of 8th Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Our decision to honour him is as a result of his enviable and unmatchable track records of outstanding achievements as former two terms Governor of Kwara State and former Senate President of Nigeria. This couple with his passionate and selfless service to Nation Building,” he said.

Baki furthered that the summit will host speakers and dignitaries like: Head of tertiary institutions across the country, Student Union Leaders and relevant stakeholders.

He said other details on the programme will be subsequently reeled out by Comrade Abdulaziz Ahmad El-Immam, the head of planning committee.
