My state won’t vote for any party against power rotation to South – Rivers Gov. Wike

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has revealed that his political party — People’s Democratic Party, PDP expressed disinterest in power rotation from North to South in the presidential election scheduled to take place next week, February 25, 2023.

He said the style of voting of the people of the state will symbolize a preservation of unity of the country, which can be sustained only via power rotation.

The Governor affirmed that the country was a heterogeneous one, and that the residents of the state would cast their votes in a manner that would preserve the oneness of the country.

He made this revelation on Saturday at the Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic’s Field, venue of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area campaign which was put in place by the state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He commended All Progressives Congress, APC Governors for maintaining their stand that power must rotate to the South.

He said the governors showed interest in unity of the country and the need to carry every section of the country along in governance.
