My principal, Buhari is ready to leave power – Femi Adesina
Femi Adesina, the presidential media aide has said that his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari cannot wait to leave office.
The spokesperson of the president said being a public servant was not easy, and that Nigerian people hardly appreciate one’s efforts.
He made this revelation on a television session while commenting on the president’s remark that he was ready to relinquish power any moment soon.
The Informant247 recalls that the president, had in a signed statement released by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, referred to the seven years he has spent in office as “tough”.
While commenting on the development, the Adesina revealed that: “Those of us who have been with him since 2015 are also counting down, we can’t wait to leave.”
He added that: “It’s a lot of responsibility and work, and may be little appreciation of the populace.
“So, by the time you are winding down, you can’t wait to go.
“It’s not a matter of Buhari hurrying out, it’s a matter of constitutional limitation, he has spent seven and a half years.”
