Muslims to celebrate Eid-El-Kabir June 16 as Sultan of Sokoto declares 7th June 1st day of Zulhijjah 1445 A.H
In commemoration of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebration, the Sultan of Sokoto and President General Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, on Thursday, declared Friday, 7th June 2024, as the 1st Day of Zulhijjah 1445 A.H.
The Informant247 gathered in a statement by Professor Sambo Wali Junaidu, Wazirin Sokoto, the Chairman Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs Sultanate Council Sokoto.
The statement said that the Sultan declared Friday, June 7th 2024, as the First Day of Zulhijjah 1445AH and Sunday, June 16th, which will be equivalent to the 10th of Zulhijjah, will be marked as this Year’s Eid-El-Kabir.
The statement added that Sultan Sa’ad felicitated with the Muslim Ummah and, wished them ALLAH’s guidance, blessings and urges the Faithful to continue to pray for peace, progress and development of the Country while wishing Nigerians happy Eid-el-Kabir.
