In preparation for the Eid-el-Kabir festival, CC Idris Yahaya Adah, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Kaduna Command, on Monday, says it has deployed 2,500 personnel across the 23 local government areas of the State to ensure safety of lives, property and critical national assets before, during and after the celebrations.
According to a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Habeeb Badamsi, said CC Adah directed security beefed up in various worship centres to ensure a hitch-free celebration across the state, adding that there is an ongoing 24-hour patrol by officers and men of the command across the state to guard against miscreants and other criminal elements who may take advantage of the celebrations to disrupt the peaceful coexistence in the state.
The statement reads, “I have also, directed all area commanders, Divisional Officers, Outposts across the 23 Local government areas of the state to ensure hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in their various local government areas.”
However, the statement advised residents to always cooperate with the security agents in the state, while urging them to report any suspicious movement or suspected criminals within their environment for urgent arrest and prosecution.
