A yet to be identified motorist, on Sunday, escaped death in a motor accident in Ilorin.
The auto-crash occurred around 10:13am along Old-Jebba Road, adjacent Government Secondary School in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
Confirming the incident, the Head of Media and Publicity for Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority, Omotayo Olalekan Taofiq, in a statement, said the driver, after being rescued by Authority’s personnel, was rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
The statement partly read, “The driver, according to eye witnesses lost control of the vehicle and rammed it into an electricity pole with such a force that pole was totally uprooted from the ground.
“The damaged car was towed away by the agency’s rescue unit after the road had been cleared of debris. Normalcy had since returned to the road.”
