Motorist escapes death in Ilorin auto-crash
A yet to be identified motorist, on Monday, escaped death in a motor accident in Ilorin.
The auto-crash occurred around 10:02am along Ajase-Ipo Road, Ola-Olu area in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
Confirming the incident, the Head of Media and Publicity for Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority, Omotayo Olalekan Taofiq, in a statement, said the driver, after being rescued by Authority’s personnel, was rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
The statement read in part, “At about 10:02 hours today Monday 28th September, 2020, a Toyota saloon car loaded with packs of Ice-blocks with a lone occupant rammed into a Pedestrian walkway along Ajase-Ipo Road Ola-Olu area Ilorin.
“The injured driver was rescued and taken to a nearby private hospital for medical attention while the damaged vehicle had been handed over by KWARTMA Rescue unit to the Police.”
