MKO Abiola’s son, Kola, declares for presidency, submits presidential forms

A son of the late Chief MKO Abiola, the presumed winner of the June 12, 1993, presidential election, Kola, has made his declaration of intention to contest the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).

Kola submitted his presidential forms to the party’s secretariat in Abuja, the country’s capital, yesterday.

While addressing newsmen, Kola said that having good leadership that can be held to account was the solution to the current challenges facing the country.

The young Abiola said he was prepared to work for whoever wins the presidential primary in his party, saying “we will all come together and work for the party.”

The National Secretary of the party, Babatunde Ali, said the party was set for the general elections.
