Meet the new acting CBN Governor, Folashodun Shonubi

Following the suspension of Godwin Emefiele as the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, President Tinubu has appointed Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi as the acting governor of the country’s foremost financial institution.

According to the cable, Shonubi is not actually a typical banker but a trained Engineer who later went into marketing, moved into information technology and later became a central banker.

Adebisi before his appointment was the CBN deputy governor (operations).
