…APC youth declare support for Gov. AbdulRazaq’s second term ambition
Youths and women in Kwara State in their thousands on Friday staged solidarity walk in Ilorin, as a pledge of support for the Governor of the State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s reelection and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in preparation for the 2023 general elections.
The solidarity street movement which was led by Amb Yahaya Seriki Gambari, the Director General AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq Campaign Council, started at Kwara State Stadium.
The street rally took the passionate supporters of APC to quarters of the ancient town which included major markets such as Oja tuntun, Oja-Oba, Yoruba road, Ipata, Challenge, Post Office and others.
The supporters displayed banners which has the inscription of the name of political wards in the 4 local government areas within Kwara Central Senatorial district and other items for campaign to market the Governor of the State who is recontesting for the number one seat of the State.
While speaking to journalists at the State Secretariat in Commissioner Lodge Way, Amb Yahaya Seriki Gambari revealed that the APC is the only formidable political platform which can come victorious in the election, with convenience.
Yahaya Seriki who was the party’s Campaign DG for Kwara Central in 2019, declared that the sterling performance of the State Governor will increase the opportunity of victory in the elections.
He described APC as the only active and reliable political platform in the State.
“We are going to repeat the great feat of 2019 by winning from bottom to top (win every election). Today’s rally is just for Kwara Central Youth only, imagine the crowd would be when we are having main campaign.
“I urge to to go back to your polling units and wards to mobilize support for Governor AbdulRazaq and other APC candidates. Vote APC for President, Senate, House of Representatives, Governorship and House of Assembly come 2023. The Governor has laid good foundation for development. He has implemented projects in every local government area. His impactful projects are scattered all over the state. He is running youth friendly and People’s oriented government.” he said.
While giving his view, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, the Chairman of APC in Kwara State, remarked that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq was deserving of second term considering his countless achievements and records gathered within 40 months.
Fagbemi therefore implored the people of the State to declare their support for the Governor to conclude the good works he had started.
The Kwara APC deputy Chairman who’s also the Deputy Campaign Director General, Alhaji Abdullahi Sanmari and the Finance Commissioner, Florence Olasumbo urged the people of the State not to allow themselves to be cajoled by defeated dynasty that are hungry of regaining political power.
