March 11: Vote Abdulrazaq, Olawepo-Hashim begs Kwara stakeholders

Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, a former presidential aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has appealed to leaders and stakeholders in Kwara State to re-elect the Governor of the State, AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq, for a second term in the March 11 governorship election.

Olawepo said this while interacting with newsmen on Wednesday, after a visit to the governor in his residence in Ilorin.

He said “I am aware that many leaders are angry with the governor, (I also have my reservations), but the truth remains that he has done his best and touched the lives of the ordinary people in the state.

“We have to be fair to him despite our personal issues and differences with him.

“Kwara is now free due to our collective struggle and we cannot turn the hands of the clock back now.”

He also urged traditional rulers in the state not to influence the choices of the electorate in the election.

He said, “Forcing anyone to vote for any political party or voters intimidation is a crime under our laws. No traditional ruler should force people against their choices,” he said.
