Sunday Amos, an unemployed man, has been remanded in a correctional facility over the murder of the alleged a quinquagenarian.
The Ibadan court on Wednesday directed that the man be remanded in a correctional facility over alleged crime.
Amos whose address was not disclosed has been charged by the police with murder.
Mrs Abimbola Amole-Ajimoti, the Magistrate, has rejected the plea of Amos for want in jurisdiction.
She directed the police to transfer the case file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
She has adjourned the matter until Dec. 20 for mention.
Insp Segun Adegboye, the Prosecution Counsel, informed the court that Amos carried out the offence on Oct. 8 at about 12. 59 p.m, in Saki, Oyo State
Adegboye has made an allegation that Amos caused the killing of 55-year-old Awobule Yakubu by beating her on the neck with a big stick.
The prosecutor has revealed that the offence is in contravention of the provisions of Section 319 of the Criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.
