Man docked for allegedly sexually molesting 6-year-old girl in Ilorin
The Kwara State family court, on Wednesday, docked one Taofeek Yunus over alleged sexual molestation of a six years old girl at Alore area in Ilorin.
Police report revealed that the victim’s mother, Bashirat Ibrahim, reported the matter at Oloje police station when she discovered strange development around her daughter.
The report added that Ibrahim noticed that her daughter’s movement is no longer stable and when she examined her, she discovered that she had been sexually abused by Yunus who was found with her.
Our correspondent reports that the state prosecutor, Akinjide Adisa, urged the court to remand the defendant in the appropriate quarter so as to serve as deterrent for others who may want to perpetrate such as heinous crime.
Magistrate Shade Lawal, who presided over the matter, ignored Adisa’s submission, and granted the defendant bail while the matter was adjourned to 29th of this month.
