Man City to face Liverpool as Carabao Cup enters fourth round
It’s definitely going to be another heavyweight clash in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with Manchester City now drawn against Liverpool.
The citizens eliminated Chelsea following their 2-0 victory on Wednesday while Liverpool defeated Derby County on penalties in their respective third round matches.
In a draw that was released late on Thursday, Manchester United, who defeated Aston Villa 4-2 in a highly spirited game will also have a date with Burnley in the round of 16.
While Newcastle United and Bournemouth will be trading tackles, Blackburn Rovers and Nottingham Forest have also been tied in to a clash for the last eight ticket.
Wolves will be looking forward to an easy ride against the League Two side, Gillingham as Southampton also host Lincoln City, a league one side in another fourth round encounter.
For Charlton Athletic, the only remaining London-based club, will play host to Brighton and Hove Albion with another third-tier side – MK Dons tied up against Leicester City.
All the matches will be played in the week commencing December 19.
