Lewandowski grabs brace as Barcelona records first win of the season
Barcelona has secured their first win of the season after defeating Real Sociedad 4-1 on Sunday in their match week two of the season.
While Lewandowski had scored the opener for Barca early in the first minutes , the host got an equalizer five minutes later through Isak who had profited from Frenkie de Jong’s mistake.
After handful of frustrations, Barcelona regained the lead back in 65 minutes through Dembele whose low level shot went past the goalkeeper after receiving a back-flipped pass from Ansu Fati, who had been introduced two minutes earlier.
The turn of event later handed Lewandowski his second goal of the game as he slots in a pass from Fati to the delight of the fans in the 69th minutes.
Fati, who had given two assists earlier would also got on the score sheet as he scored the fourth goal of the game to complete the rout.
While the victory still leave much to be desired for on the part of Barcelona, it’s definitely a ‘chip’ that sent a chill down their spines after their 2-2 draw in their last game.
Lewandowski was voted man of the match owing to his great performance.
