The duo of Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus on Saturday combined to hand Manchester United another defeat as West Ham snatched a 2-0 victory at the London Stadium.

It was a game that had an injury-ravaged Manchester United calling on the 19-year-old Willy Kambwala in at centre-half for a first senior appearance.

The red devils showed flashes of a better outing in the first half but were denied an effect on the scoreline with the lack of clinical finish.

Alejandro Garnacho had the best of attempts on two different occasions in the interval but failed to turn them in.

West Ham were just coming from their midweek Carabao Cup 5-1 loss to Liverpool and David Moyes made six changes to the team that lost in Anfield.

While Bowen scored in the 72nd minutes to hit his 12th goal of the season, Ghanaian winger Kudus consolidated the lead six minutes later as he sent in a low level shot in to put the game past the visitors

It was United’s 13th defeat in their last 26 matches, 20th in 2023 and worst tally in 34 years.

While West Ham now occupies 6th on the log with 30 points, Manchester United are now currently 8th on the table with 28 points.

United will welcome Aston Villa to Old Trafford in their next game as West Ham also make a short trip to Arsenal
