Labour Party candidate unseats Reps minority leader Elumelu in Delta
The Minority Leader of House of Representatives, Mr. Ndudi Elumelu, has lost his bid to return to the Green Chamber to Ngozi Okolie of the Labour Party, LP.
Elumelu was the candidate of the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency of Delta State on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the national assembly election conducted last Saturday, February 25, 2023.
The winner of the election who aspired on the platform of LP polled a total of 53,879 votes to unseat Elumelu who secured 33,456 votes.
The returning officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof. Kenneth Ibe made the declaration on Monday, February 27, 2023 in Asaba, the capital of Delta State.
