Sequel to the inauguration of the environmental sanitation task force Committee set up by the Kwara State Government to maintain uninterrupted environmental hygiene in the state capital of Ilorin.
In carrying out its mandate, the committee, which comprises: Ibrahim Akaje, Yinka Bello, Oloyin Lateef Adebayo and AbdulRasaq Jeddah, Kayode Oyin-Zubair, Obasanjo Alashi and Musbau Esinrogunjo today, 26th October, 2019 stormed various markets in Ilorin to distribute environmental sanitation materials such as mobile waste bins, brooms, packers, polythene to ease environmental sanitation.
Some of the major markets visited by the committee include; Ipata, Oja Oba, Gegele, Oja Tuntun and Oja Ago markets.
In her remark, the Iya L’oja General, Alhaja Sidikat Shuaib thanked the administration of governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman for placing the issue of environmental sanitation of various markets in the state capital on the front burner.
The committee, however enjoined the market women and members of the public to show maximum cooperation with the government of Alhaji AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, warning individuals to desist from vandalisation or theft of the materials in order to serve the purpose for which they were distributed.
