KWGIS pledges strong support to PPC for office renovation projects

The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Geographic Information Service (KWGIS), ESV. Abdulkareem Babatunde Sulyman, has committed to providing essential support to the Public Complaints Commission (PPC) as they work towards rebuilding their office. This assurance was made during a courtesy visit from the PPC to his office, where Sulyman expressed the importance of collaboration between their agencies.

In his remarks, Sulyman characterized the visit as timely and reiterated his agency’s readiness to offer full cooperation to the PPC in achieving its goals within the state. He noted the longstanding partnership between KWGIS and the PPC since the latter’s establishment and confirmed that their request for assistance with the office renovation would be prioritized. He also encouraged the PPC to submit their proposed office design for review and approval.

Barrister Olarewaju Falola, the Commissioner for the PPC, commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration for its impactful work across various sectors. He expressed gratitude to Sulyman for his prompt attention to their needs and stressed the necessity of a new office, citing the inadequacy of their current facilities.

Tpl Abdulhakeem Abdulsalam, General Manager of Physical Planning and Development Control, urged the PPC to ensure their site plan meets high standards that align with the urban renewal initiatives promoted by the governor. He emphasized the importance of quality drawings to facilitate the project’s progress.

Additionally, State Surveyor General Surv. Timothy A. Afolayan highlighted the importance of conducting a comprehensive site survey before beginning construction to ensure the new building is optimally positioned for success.

The visit culminated in the presentation of the PPC handbook to the Executive Chairman, symbolizing a renewed partnership aimed at enhancing public service delivery in Kwara State. Key officials from both KWGIS and the PPC were in attendance, showcasing a unified effort towards improving infrastructure for public service.
