KWASU shines at NLA inter-school quiz competition
The students representing Kwara state university (KWASU), malete has won the second edition of the inter-school quiz competition organized by the Nigerian Library Association (NLA) Kwara state chapter.
The event which took place on thursday at the National Library complex in Ilorin featured students from five tertiary institutions within the state.
The institutions who participated in the quiz competition were Kwara state university (KWASU), Lens University Ilemona, Lens Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin, and the federal polytechnic Offa.
In his opening remarks, the chairman NLA Kwara chapter, Dr. Bello Abdulateef said the competition started last year as an avenue to test knowledge and celebrate curiosity.
According to him, NLA Kwara chapter serve as a platform for promoting literacy healthy competition and intellectual excellence among students.
He appreciated the contestants, lecturers, and parents for their believe.
The Lens university came third, while the Lens polytechnic took second and Kwara state university secured the first position.
The Kwara state polytechnic and federal polytechnic came 5th and 4th position respectively.
The highlight of the event include presentation of certificates to participants and awards to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position.
