Kwara’s COVID-19 cases hit 1459 as virus spreads to 15 LGs

The Kwara State Government has released the list of Local Government Area affected with the highest numbers of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state.
The State Ministry of Health released the statistics, when providing updates on the state COVID-19.
As of January 4th 2021, the data released revealed Ilorin South Local Government Area as heading the list with 642 cases, followed closely by Ilorin West Local Government with 519 cases, and Ilorin East rounds the top three with 128 cases.
Edu with 42 confirmed cases, Offa – 37, Ifelodun – 27, Asa – 19, Oke-Ero – 11, Oyun – 7, Irepodun – 7, Moro – 6, Baruten– 5, Patigi – 5, Kaiama – 2 and Ekiti– 2.
Meanwhile, the state recorded 44 new confirmed cases on Monday, bringing total number of confirmed cases to 1459.
However, 1281 patients have been discharged, with 146 active cases and 32 confirmed death.
