Kwara United appoints Olatunbosun Abayomi as club’s psychologist
Alison Institute, Ireland, trained Psychologist, Abayomi Joseph Olatunbosun, has effectively taken over as team psychologist of Kwara United, according to club’s media office.
According to a news release signed by the club media officer, Ayodeji Ismail, Olatunbosun is also a Sociology graduate of University of Ilorin, and has closely worked with the club in different capacities in the past.
The position has been vacant since the exit of Mr Gbenga Akinola from the club and the coming of Abayomi Joseph to fill the vacuum will add value to the team.
Confirming the appointment, the club Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye said the management believes in his ability and experience to deliver for the team, stating that the impact of a functional psychologist in the team cannot be over emphasized.
“I want to congratulate our new psychologist on his appointment and I also implore him to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the team as we continue our preparation for the new season,” Titiloye said.
Responding to the appointment, Mr Olatunbosun expressed appreciation to the club management and the chairman, Mr Titiloye, pledging to give his all to tye new challenge.
He promised to work in tandem with the vision and mission of the club to achieve their set objectives.
Olatunbosun has worked as secretary, Gidado Football Club and Dickalo Football Academy, he has also worked as a psychoanalyst for AFRH’s Global impact project HIV & AIDS awareness.
Meanwhile, Kwara United is set to have its first work out in Ikenna ahead of the Value Jet Pre-season Tournament.
