Kwara United apologise to supporters after Niger Tornadoes’ 2-1 defeat

Kwara United have apologised to the club’s supporters for their matchday one defeat to Niger Tornadoes in Ilorin.

The Harmony Boys suffered a 2-1 defeat against the Ikon Allah Boys at the Kwara State Sports Complex.

The General Manager of the club, Bashir Badawiy, expressed his remorse over the setback, pledging that the technical staff would meticulously address the areas of weakness and strive to reclaim their winning form.

He also encouraged supporters not to relent in the discharge of their primary responsibility to the team.

The 2-1 defeat

The Harmony Boys were beaten by their visitors, Niger Tornadoes, in the first match of the season.

The visitors set out to secure a podium finish for the season when Godstime Joseph put Tornadoes ahead in the 32nd minute.

Sabiu Ibrahim extended the lead with a composed finish in the 69th minute of the encounter.

Sadeeq Yusuf pulled one back for the hosts five minutes before the end, scoring Harmony’s first goal of the season.

Kwara United will take on El-Kanemi Warriors in their next league game.
