Kwara sports official, Lade elected as North Central representative on NRCSF board
A Permanent Member of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Abdullahi Yunusa Lade, has been elected as the North Central representative on the Board of the National Rowing, Canoeing and Sailing Federation (NRCSF).
The election, which took place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in Jos, Plateau State, brought together delegates from across the North Central zone. Lade emerged unopposed following extensive consultations and broad endorsement from stakeholders.
He succeeds Dr. Femi Ayorinde, the immediate past representative who also distinguished himself as Vice-President of the Federation and a member of international sports bodies.
Stakeholders have welcomed Lade’s emergence, describing it as a major step for the zone, particularly given his background in Kwara North’s riverine communities and his record of promoting grassroots sports development and youth inclusion.
With his new role, Lade is expected to inject fresh energy and innovative ideas into the Federation, while advancing the interests of the North Central zone in national sports administration.
The Kwara State Sports Commission, under the leadership of Executive Chairman Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji, was commended for its role in ensuring the success of the electoral process.
