Kwara Poly: Kawu debunks fraud, conspiracy allegations

Kwara State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, Mrs Sa’adatu Kawu Modibbo on Friday dismissed as “untrue” series of fraud and conspiracy allegations leveled against her.

The allegations widely circulated in the media early this week, with an unidentified author, alleged she conspired with top officials of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin to disengage the institution’s portal manager, and likewise involved herself in some banking transactions of the school.

However, according to a statement she personally signed and sent to THE INFROMANT247, Kawu disclosed she’s not involved in any financial activities of the Polytechnic or any other institutions in the state.

She further described the allegations as “cooked up lies”, adding that it “attempted to distort decisions taken to enhance the development of the Kwara State Polytechnic”.

Her statement read partly, “As MOTEST commissioner, I was not party to the decision at the Kwara Polytechnic, Ilorin, to change an old portal handler with a new one. Nor do I have anything to do with any company, they raised allegations for, or against.

“I also have nothing to do with the banking transactions of the Kwara State Polytechnic or any Tertiary Institution for that matter.

“I will continue to work with utmost dedication, in the best interest of our state; so faceless authors of absurd write ups, have a lot coming.”
