Kwara: NSCDC boss urges newly-promoted officers to be more proactive
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps Commandant in Kwara State, Mr Makinde Ayinla, has urged the newly- promoted junior officers of the corps to be more responsible and proactive in the discharge of their duties.
This is contained in a statement issued by the command’s Spokesperson, Mr Babawale Afolabi, and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Ilorin.
Afolabi quoted the commandant as enjoining the 239 newly-promoted officers at the corps’ state headquarters, Ilorin, that they should shun any act that could tarnish the good image of NSCDC.
“The peaceful coexistence currently being enjoyed is largely due to the great and excellent working relationship among all the security agencies in the state.
“I congratulate you on your new ranks and want you to see your new positions as another call to duty, to be more proactive and committed to ensuring security of lives and property.
“You must leverage the good working relationship that exists among all the security agencies in the state and make sure you always protect the good image of the corps,” he said.
Officers on grade levels four to seven benefited from the promotion exercise.
The NSCDC spokesperson also quoted the affected officers as promising to be more diligent and hardworking in the discharge of their duties. (NAN)
