Kwara govt unveils state-of-the-art KwaraLEARN school to transform education
Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to revolutionising the education sector with the establishment of a cutting-edge KwaraLEARN school in Ilorin.
Located at Adeta Primary School, the model facility, according to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Olayinka Fafoluyi, was designed to improve the quality of education across the state while creating a nurturing environment for young learners.
Fafoluyi said that the multistorey school complex, built to world-class standards, was equipped with facilities that foster both academic excellence and extracurricular activities.
“The project will comprise 15 classrooms for each educational level: pre-primary, lower primary (Primary 1–3), and upper primary (Primary 4–6), totaling 45 classrooms,” Fafoluyi stated. Additional facilities include an office for the headmaster, a deputy headmaster’s office, a large administrative office, a sickbay, and two spacious staff rooms.
To enhance science and creativity, the school will feature two science laboratories, two large art rooms, and two ICT laboratories. Moreover, a modern library, ample outdoor play space for recreation, and accessible toilet facilities for both students and staff will be provided.
Fafoluyi also mentioned that the administration has undertaken the recruitment of qualified teachers and is committed to the timely payment of their salaries as a part of its educational reform agenda, adding that the ongoing initiative at Adeta aims to establish a new standard not only for Kwara State but for basic education infrastructure across the North Central region and beyond.
“Upon completion, this model school will serve as a template for future constructions and a significant step toward narrowing the education gap, ensuring that no child is left behind when it comes to accessing quality public education in the state,” he added.
The project aligns with the AbdulRazaq-led government’s commitment to elevate public school standards across the state and enhance learning outcomes for children, particularly in underserved communities.
