The Kwara State Government has approved training Programme for Professionals responsible for Design, Costing and Supervision of Construction projects across MDAs in order to ensure standard practice and value for money in project delivery.
The training will be organised by the Kwara State Public Procurement Agency.
According to the General-Manager, Kwara State Public Procurement Agency, QS Raheem Abdulbaki, the exercise aims at strengening the skills of Professionals in MDAs on better service delivery and allowing them to gain professional experience which are geared toward improving project delivery in the State.
“The training is expected to hold as follows: Monday 22nd November, 2021(Opening ceremony-All MDAs); Tuesday 23rd to Thursday 25th November, 2021(A civil Engineers); Monday 29th November to Wednesday 1st December, 2021- B(i) Quantity Surveyors B(ii) Architects B(iii) Builders ; Monday 6th to Tuesday 7th December, 2021- (C. Water Resources Engineers); Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th December 2021-(D. Electrical Engineers); Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th December, 2021- (E. Mechanical Engineers.
“All the MDAs are expected to submit the Names, Ranks, Grade levels and Phone numbers of Concerned Professionals which must include Directors of the affected professions, to the PPA on or before Monday 8th November, 2021,” the statement read.
