The governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Monday, reviewed the 2021 budget proposal from N123 Billion to N134.9 Billion.
The letter for the slight increase in the proposal was contained in the Governor’s letter sent to the House of Assembly which was read by the Speaker of the House Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi.
The Governor stated that the increase was necessary due to new developments after the earlier presentation of the budget proposal to the members of the Assembly on December 18, 2020.
The reviewed budget proposal had N134.9 billion with the capital and recurrent expenditure standing at N64.5 billion and N70.4billion, according to the Governor.
The governor’s letter for the slight increase in the proposal to the House of Assembly was read at plenary on Monday by Speaker Yakubu Salihu-Danladi.
AbdulRazaq said the increase was necessitated by new developments after the presentation of the budget proposal to the Assembly on December 18 last year.
