Kwara govt restates commitment to youth development
Continuous encouragement of youth and promotion of their constructive development are some of the approaches the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is pursuing religiously, the Permanent Secretary of the Kwara State Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Iyabo Funke Banire has said.
She stated this at the Kwara State Stadium in Ilorin after a novelty football match between the NYSC football team and the Airforce football team organised to celebrate the occasion of International Youth Day on Tuesday.
Banire, who expressed her delight in the performance of the two teams also thanked Governor AbdulRazaq for his support towards youth development.
She advised youths to keep venturing into sporting activities as it has moved from being just a reactional activity into a source of revenue-generating.
The Ministry, meanwhile, said it has lined up series of events to mark the International Youth Day.
