Kwara govt reiterates commitment to staff welfare
AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government, in its efforts to promote a better working environment and increase staff morale for effective service delivery, reiterated the government’s commitment to staff welfare.
Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh, the Commissioner for Social Development, made this known on Tuesday during an in-house tour within the Ministry’s headquarters and other welfare homes.
The Commissioner, while inspecting the facilities in the ministry, assured the staff of the prompt provision of official materials and equipment to aid efficient service delivery.
She also urged the staff on fairness, punctuality and probity in the discharge of their statutory responsibilities, adding that the reward for the humanitarian services rendered would not only be rewarded through monthly salary but also by God Almighty.
Similarly, the Commissioner visited the Children Reception Centre, Gaa-Akanbi, and Amoyo Rehabilitation Homes, where she shared edibles with the kids.
Meanwhile, Hon. Buraimoh admonished the staff and the minders to embrace global ethical standards acceptable by the World Health Organization (WHO) and ensure that the welfare of the children is given topmost priority while also urging the children to be obedient to the instructions provided by their minders, to take their studies seriously and shun any act that will affect their progress while praying them a better life.
The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mr Ayanwale Peter Kayode, charged the staff to be committed to the service and give their best, reassuring that the state government will continue to cater for their needs appropriately.
