Kwara govt disagrees with NCDC on number of coronavirus cases
Kwara State Government has disagreed with the National Centre for Disease Control – NCDC over seven new cases it recorded for the state on the agency’s portal.
On Monday, NCDC has confirmed that Kwara has recorded another 7 new cases in addition to existing 58 cases.
However, the Governor’s spokesperson, Rafiu Ajakaye, when contacted by THE INFORMANT247 claimed that there was “an error from the NCDC,” noting that only 5 new cases of the infection was recorded on Monday.
He said that the results of two additional samples were repeated test of cases already recorded.
Ajakaye added that the NCDC will correct the mistake.
Consequently, the state’s infection toll is 63.
